The fearless/keen-for-publicity Essex girl is the latest celeb gearing up for a series of gross bush tucker trials and two weeks of sharing an outdoor dunny. You wouldn’t get that in Brentwood.
Abi, 22, is understood to be one of the last to sign a contract.
Her deal is said to be worth around £25,000, with her flight to Oz all but confirmed.
I’m told: “She was approached by ITV a few weeks ago and, after extensive talks, is deciding to sign on the dotted line.
“She’s a bubbly, outgoing girl who isn’t afraid of flashing the flesh.
“Producers are confident she’ll be a hit with viewers. Abi has already joked that she’ll be happy to be the first celeb under the famous jungle waterfall shower. If she can do a Myleene Klass and get a lucrative modelling or swimwear deal out the show, then all the better.
“She is also a massive flirt and the show’s bosses are hoping she may well have a jungle fling.”
Abi, who joined ITV2 show TOWIE in February, filmed a spin-off in Vegas recently.
She was pictured in the gamblers’ paradise strutting her stuff in various cut-away swimming cossies and bikinis, and tucking into cocktails.
Since arriving in TOWIE, she has had dates with cast members Tom Pearce and new hunk James Lock, as well as enjoying a long-running, on-off romance with James “Diags” Bennewith.
Abi previously described herself as “just a young girl who likes to party and look nice”. Expect lots of reflective, philosophical fire-side conversations, then.
Other stars rumoured to be heading for the jungle for the new series of I’m a Celebrity..., which begins next weekend, include Olympic gold medal swimmer Rebecca Adlington, troubled footie legend Gazza, and EastEnders actress Laila “Big Mo” Morse.
TOWIE castmate Joey Essex is due to join Abi for the Aussie ordeal but his on/off ex-girlfriend Sam Faiers is not.
